Clay Pigeons

“There are very few African-American men in this country who haven’t had the experience of being followed when they were shopping in a department store.”

“There are very few African-American men in this country who haven’t had the experience of walking across the street and hearing the locks click on the doors of cars.”

“There are very few African-American men in this country who haven’t had the experience of getting on an elevator and a woman clutching her purse nervously and holding her breath until she had a chance to get off.”
Barack Obama, July 2013.

Victim Chris Lane 23, randomly shot dead by three youths… “for the fun of it”
Victim Joshua Chellew 36, beaten unconscious by four gang members then left in the middle of a five-lane highway where they watched as he was run over by a vehicle.

Victim Pat Mahaney 46, severely beaten by six youths dies from complications… The boys were seeking entertainment and “felt like it.”
Victim Delbert Belton 88, beaten by two youths, died within hours from the injuries. Gang initiation or was it out of “boredom” as claimed by the teens.

Victim Jeffrey Babbitt 62, Brain-dead after received a blindside blow to the head by a 31-year-old male… “The next White person that walks by, I’m going to fuck”
Victim Christopher Newsom 23, after being carjacked he was stripped, bound, sodomized with an undisclosed object, raped by one of the assailants, shot in back, neck and head, finally his body was doused in fuel and set on fire…

Victim Channon Christian 21, (Girlfriend of Christopher Newsom) Channon unlike Chris was taken back to one of the assailants home, there she was repeatedly raped (in every possible way) beaten over and over (until much of her body was unrecognizable).  After at least one, possibly two days of abuse she was still alive, her tormentors then poured bleach all over her body to wash away DNA evidence then they poured bleach down her throat, again to wash away DNA.  Still alive she was bound, stuffed into plastic trash bags then shoved headfirst, upside-down into a kitchen trash bin where she slowly suffocated to death.  Through search efforts of Christopher and Channon’s families and diligent investigating by the police, the house of horrors was tracked down, Channon’s body was still in the kitchen, still in the trash bin.  By all accounts Channon was little more than a few days of entertainment for the four men and one woman convicted of the gruesome murder.

Seven victims all white, twenty-one assailants twenty black/one white… Cherry Picking? DOJ statics on interracial crime, Black on White crime 75% vs. White on Black crime 10% (Other Combinations 15%).  The latest estimated demographics show the United States population is made up of 12.6% Black, 72.4% White and 15% other.  At this point I could effortlessly counter Obamas call for Americas to do some “Soul-Searching” in the terms of race and the history of African-Americans “that doesn’t go away”, after all 75% of the racially charged crimes are committed by factions within 12% of the population... One could make the point the reputation was hard fought and reactions well deserved… but that’s not the point I want to make.
At one time the conventional wisdom was when confronted be it a robbery, purse snatching even a carjacking don’t put up a fight, after all its just stuff… a few bucks gone, the hassle of replacing your ID’s, BS paperwork with the insurance company… but still just stuff.  No longer can those thoughts guide actions, robbery and theft are becoming an afterthought (if a consideration at all).  Assailants seek to feed a blood lust, thugs seek to entertain themselves by cruelly torturing another human being for hours if not days… To a small but vicious portion of society, you, me, EVERYONE have become nothing more than clay pigeons on a skeet-range.  The mindset must change, you must be aware of your surroundings, not only should you lock your car doors as someone crosses the street towards you, you should mentally coil yourself and be ready to act.  Our society has produced predators and social cannibals with a thirst for blood not seen since the days of the Roman Empire.

A few weeks back I took a road trip to north-east Pennsylvania for a wedding, my wife, mother-in-law and her sister were with me.  It was late Sunday night on the way back (in KY, 40-miles west of Cincinnati OH.) I stopped for fuel at a little place just off the interstate, nothing special a quiet little stop-n-go no other lights around.  As I stretched my legs and pumped the fuel a car pulled up to the front door of the store, three boys (20-22 years-old) in the car were a bit loud, boisterous, full of piss & vinegar and most likely didn’t need the twelve-pack of beer they walked out of the store with.  A few moments later another car pulled into the parking lot, two young ladies jumped out, they pulled some snacks and drinks from the back seat.

Immediately the girls caught the attention of the three boys and the cat calls began.  At first I don’t think the girls realized they were the objects of the boy’s increasingly vulgar comments… but soon they caught on.  Their eyes widened then they looked towards me, we made eye contact and I gave them a little nod.  I faced the boys and stood quietly but attentive, the boys would have had to go past me to get to the girls… the boys didn’t move.  When the young ladies got in their car I climbed into mine, as they pulled out I pulled out behind them but as I hit the parking lot exit I swung a bit wide to block it for a moment until the taillights disappeared into the night, the boys stayed put behind me.

Three on one, I knew if something happened I most likely wasn’t walking away and that was my mindset but being an old nuke troop I stand by the idea of “MAD” Mutually Assured Destruction, I’d do my best to make sure they didn’t walk away neither.  Along with the obscenities the boys were yelling they also yelled some racial slurs, it was three WHITE boys and two BLACK girls but I didn’t see color, I saw  trouble on one side of me and someone that needed if not protection at least reassurance on the other side of me.  It could have been my daughters, at a minimum they were someone’s daughters.

Glenn Beck told the story of the Newsom/Christian murders on air, it was one of the most difficult stories I had ever listen to… but one that every man must know, take the next few moments, listen to the story, set your resolve, do some “Soul-Searching”.

7th Grader

As the 7th grader schoolyard punk stood there boasting and snarling out threats a 5th grader stepped forward to call his bluff.  Somewhat shocked but not wanting to show it, he turned to give his lackeys one of his famous “Do You Believe This Guy” Smirks… but as he turned he found he was standing all alone.  His throat tighten and sweat began to bead upon his brow.  He turned to face the upstart 5th graded only to find that another 5th grader joined him… and another… and another… and some 6th graders joined in to facedown the 7th grade schoolyard punk.  The once brazen and boastful child now weak and scared, slowly stepped back, then another step and another, his pace quickened until he was in a sprint… as he passed his class mates he yelled “Help me, help me, those kids are starting trouble”.  His class mates, who had been targets of the punk’s brow-beatings, ridicule and bullying stood silently, watching the spectacle unfold.

This is the picture that came to mind as I watched Obama deal with his missteps in the Syrian civil war.  Once dependable allies have stepped away from the “Lead-From-Behind” leader not knowing if he’ll run off to Vegas or Martha’s Vineyard when the going gets tough.  Adversaries, Iran, Russia and China are stepping forward to defend their interest in the region… maybe their predictable position should have been considered prior to Obamas boastful “RED LINE’ was drawn, perhaps consulting the UN and letting them take charge (like 2+ years-ago and 120,000+ lives… what’s their purpose anyway, social engineering).  Obama laments that the “UN Security Council is ineffective and the timeline for action is excessive…”  Then why do we continue to fund the U.N., nothing better to spend taxpayer money on?  The Arab League (22 oil rich members) should be able to gather up a regional “Peace Keeping” force, after all part of their charter is to “Settle Arab disputes and limit conflicts”, Syria seems to fit the bill.

For 4-1/2 years conservatives have been told by Obama “Do it MY way… or I’LL go around you and do it anyway”.  For 4-1/2 years conservatives have been ridiculed, lambasted, lied about and attacked by his minions in agencies like the IRS, EPA, NSA, DEA etc… “Tea Baggers” “Want to throw Grand-ma off the cliff” “Republicans WANT dirty air and water” “Flat-Earth Thinkers” etc…  Now the Republican leadership is coming out in favor of Obama’s unilateral decision to kill more Syrians as a reprisal for Syrians killing Syrians…  You’re about 119,000 dead Syrians late!  There is also talk of “Deal Making” for supporting Obamas actions, better ask Bill Clinton about “O” and how good his word is.  When Obama is looking to bring Republicans “onboard” for anything… Repeat ANYTHING, he’s looking for a rube or a patsy, someone to dump the blame on later when things go bad! “It’s Bushes Fault” “It’s the Tsunamis Fault” “It’s those Tea Baggers standing in the way” and the lap dog press will eat it up.  Gift from Obama, Vote Present! (If you even show up that day).  Don’t vote YES, don’t vote NO… He dug this hole, now he’s looking for someone to blame it on.  As far as America looking weak or loosing stature… that happened a few years back fellas’.  Where ya been?
Do I like what’s happening in Syria or what has happened in the past 2+ years? HELL NO!  But it was allowed to fester for too long, we should have been leading the way at the start, negotiating, jumping up & down on the podium at the U.N., poking and prodding allies and adversaries to gain control over the situation… Now it’s too late.  It would have taken work and commitment and quite frankly Obama is just too lazy to manage either.  Obama, there is no good way out of this, I recommend you start pulling a Benghazi… blame it on a video, American Pop should do, it has America in it and some Jewish content, then you can head to VEGAS BABY, hit the links, 7 months of the press covering for you… who’s going to remember…
The family of Brian Terry?
The families of the 200+ men, women and children gunned down in Mexico? (and counting)
The families of 25 members of SEAL TEAM 6? (Extortion 17 helicopter shot down)
The families of the 5 Army National Guard/Reservist? (Aircrew Extortion 17 helicopter shot down)
The families of the Benghazi 4?
Egypt’s Christian Community?

O’s missteps racked up quite a body count…

The Dream (American, or otherwise)

50 years ago I was a mere babe, so I literally grew up hearing the echoes of the words spoken by Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. a half century ago on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.  Over all those years, I had never had anyone explain the meaning of his words, no one defined the content of his speech to me.

That is until today…

On Wednesday August 28, several voices stepped forward to clarify Rev. King’s words, several stepped forward to clear up the lingering misconceptions of Rev. King’s intent.  Among the speakers of note there was Martin Luther King III (son of Rev. King), Oprah Winfrey (still facing oppression… while shopping for a $65,000 purse), Georgia Democratic Rep. John Lewis (a man that marched with Rev. King back in 1963), former Presidents Carter and Clinton (our first “Black” president, his words) and of course Obama (our first “White-Black” president, the MSM’s new descriptive term).
Obama was gracious enough to channel the Rev. King directly so he could define his intent that summer of 63.  He accused our society of willfully inflicting grievances based on not only race but gender, sexual orientation and wealth.  Then communities across the nation were called out for providing children substandard school, diminished opportunity and inadequate health care.  Finally the once hidden crises of “parental violence” was brought out in the open, as he spoke through Obama. (Well maybe that wasn’t Rev. King speaking but those were the words used).

Silly me… Over the years I have read Rev. Kings “I Have a Dream” speech a number of times and I failed to pick-up on all these profound points Obama spoke of.  I had always imagined Reverend King was calling for the removal of the intentionally placed obstacles from the path of all (“not be judged by the color of their skin”) so they would be free to advance as far as their individual abilities could take them (“but by the content of their character”).  Those were the most famous words, the most quoted words from that day in August of 63 but not the most important.

Of all the words spoken, the most powerful and perhaps the least remembered was the Reverends cautionary statement.

“In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds.  Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.  We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline.”

“…the high plane of dignity and discipline.”  He knew in those early days that the acceptance of the “Black Man” as a social equal hinged on his behavior, again content of character…  There was a time armed guards had to escort children through the doors of a once white segregated school, now their grandchildren need guards to escort them through their own neighborhoods because of those who claim the rights of the struggle but do not remember their responsibility to the struggle.

“We must FOREVER conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline.”

These should have been the words most quoted.  How much further could we be as a nation if we lived this phrase, these simple words are the key, the covenant to equality.  The door of acceptance is open, it opened many years ago, we’ve been waiting for you…

Sit Down

Much has been said lately about the speech given by Ashton Kutcher during the Teen Choice Awards, I even wanted to write an uplifting story to spotlight his Reaganist message, delivered in a contemporary voice that could connect with the young audience.  His words of work, opportunity and education were words that need to be repeated over and over to the youth of our nation.  At first I wanted so desperately to go down that path… but then I came across this list.

Franciscan Church and School, Suez                                Holy Shepherd Monastery and Hospital, Suez
Good Shepherd Church, Suez                                            Greek Orthodox Church, Suez

This is a list of Christian Churches, Schools, Organizations, Businesses, Hospitals and Homes in Egypt that have been looted, vandalized, burnt and destroyed by members of the Muslim Brotherhood  and its supporters over the past week (close to 60, well over 60 by now).

Not only has property been damaged but Priest have been kidnapped (most likely tortured and murdered over the past days).  Nuns have been brutalized and raped.  Christian families have been attacked, beaten, murdered and the young girls of these families (some as young as 12) are taken away repeatedly raped and then tossed into the street as discarded trash.  All of this can be traced back to the tinkering, the meddling, the policies and the manipulation of Obama, a man that Ashton Kutcher publicly supported (and I suspect still does).  So unless he is willing to publicly disavow the Obama administrations destructive policies, I have no time for him.  Vengeance is the Lord’s… I will leave forgiveness in his hand also…  I am not so starved for Liberals to see the truth that a few words will make it all better.  Mr. Kutcher, SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!

“Oh my God, I didn’t know it was this bad.”

“These folks are just days or weeks away from all-out bloodshed”

A quote from Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham during a joint press conference on their recent Egyptian visit.  REALLY???  Between the two of you and the committees you head or sit on, there should be no surprises.  You both have staffs to sift through mounds of information, agencies at your beckoning call and the best you can come up with is “I didn’t know it was this bad.”  A not-so-small fortune is spent on you so we don’t have to hear “I didn’t know.”

Mr. McCain, I’m a retired Air Force Crew Chief, I took care of the jets that pilots strapped on.  Above all else the safety, the lives of my aircrews were my first priority.  I did this by knowing, knowing my jet, knowing my crews mission, knowing my duties, my responsibilities.  I never wanted to look into the eyes of a wife, of a child and explain Daddy isn’t coming home because “I Didn’t Know…” when it was my job to know.  My final Mid-East deployment was my Commanders first, I pulled the Saint George medallion (that I had worn for years) from my neck and placed it in the sleeve pocket of his flight suite before launching him on his first bomber mission in a jet that I knew would bring it and him back safely.  I never met a pilot I wouldn’t lay my life down to protect… but I guess I’m no longer a Crew Chief… and you’re no longer a Pilot.  Gentlemen (term used loosely), I’m sitting in a Southern Indiana cornfield and I saw this coming.  What have you been watching the past several months?  NEVER MIND, JUST SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!

Finally, our absentee Commander-in-Chief Obama, every time he has obtained any level of authority from low-level academia through mid-level community organization to national prominence his divisive, destructive and manipulative antics have resulted in a trail of devastation.  His track record of being unconcerned with the safety and welfare of others is now firmly entrenched.  While SEAL Team 6 went after Osama bin Laden he played cards, while the attacks played out in Benghazi Obama slept, now as the undefended Christians of Egypt are brutalized, raped and slaughtered at the hands of his friends in the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama vacations… again, (ever notice, when the $%!# hits the fan O runs away and hides).

Going on five years now we have endured, the world has endured, Obama’s Islamic propaganda; “the most beautiful sound” “a religion of peace” “ Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings” “dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.”  As with all propaganda, once exposed to the light it turns out to be a lie.  Islam is no longer a religion (if it ever was), Islam is nothing more than an excuse (a poor one at that), an excuse to brutalize, to torture, to rape, to pursue pedophile urges, to butcher, to murder.  Anyplace Islam is left to fester unchecked crushing oppression is the results, basic human rights are non-existent and instability/terrorism is exported.  The Muslim Brotherhood was propped up, financed and armed by Obama (using U.S. taxpayer money), this emboldened them to be dictatorial and non-inclusive of the Egyptian population.  Obama, you are fairly young with a long life before you, your legacy has been carved in stone with the blood of Egyptian Christians, the bodies of innocent children, the nation of Egypt rest upon your doorstep.  Obama, SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE …. UP!

This is my 96th story in the year and a half that I’ve been writing, just over 17,000 page views.  There have only been two stories that were difficult for me to write, the disappointment brought by the actions of one solder in Kill People and Break Things and the anger as a father telling the story of Malala’s Courage.  Both are paled by the emotions I feel right now.  The anger knowing this need not have happened, knowing that the mainstream media will never tell this story.  My sadness knowing thousands have needlessly suffered and thousands, perhaps millions more will suffer over the next few years, because of men content to set the world ablaze if it won’t conform to their warped vision.  There will be no speech, no behind-the-scene political deal and no peace-keeping action that will stop the atrocities or the horrors that will be endured.
Maybe the only comfort I will find is that I did not stand by silently.

NOT SITTING DOWN
NOT SHUTTING UP

Spoiled Brat

The other day I stopped in a local grocery store to pick up a loaf of bread, as I walked up to the checkout a little round boy (maybe 11 or 12) buzzed past me pushing me out of his way.  I took a moment of pause and considered calling him on barging past me but instead I watched as he went for the candy.  Almost indiscriminately he grabbed a hand full of candy from one box, then another and another, then he flung the bundle onto the checkout counter scattering treats from one end to the other.  The lady at the register glanced at me and rolled her eyes as she began scooping the mess into a pile, I gave her a little nod to go ahead and take care of the kid (I was in no rush).

She began dragging the candy bars, pixy stix and twizzlers across the scanner, finally she finished with a total of $15 and change.  The boy pulled a $5 bill from his pocket handing it to the lady, she looked at him and said "That’s not enough”.  He huffed and slammed his fist on the counter, turned and looked in my direction then started screaming “I need more money!”  A bit shocked I stepped back and looked around, then I noticed a man standing a few feet behind me, I stepped aside allowing him to pass.  He looked at the ranting boy and said “You have your allowance, maybe you should put some back” this really set the boy off, he came back with “NO! You need to give me more money!”  The man began to reach into his pocket.  I lowered my head shaking it back and forth in disbelief… I held the loaf of bread up as I stepped around the dysfunctional pair and passed the lady a couple of bucks.
As I drove home thoughts of what I had witnessed drifted in and out, I thought someday that little monster will be an adult and people are going to have to deal with him, maybe I’ll have to deal with him again someday.  Little did I know I was only a few short moments away from that thought coming to be, little did I know I was only moments away from being told what I “needed to do” by a brat. I turned the T.V. on when I got home, and within seconds a clip came on showing a man speaking, he said.
“The bottom line is we’re not broke, there’s plenty of money, it’s just the government doesn’t have it” he followed with “The government has a right, the government and the people of the United States have a right, to run programs of the United States: health, welfare, housing, all these things…”  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36bjRh9rcd8
The man was Minnesota Representative Keith Ellison (D), it sounds like in his opinion the government has a “RIGHT” to take as it sees fit.  Do I take a moment of pause, bite my lip and let this spoiled brat have his rant… I THINK NOT!  Fella, its time someone tells you something your father should have told you long ago.

You get an allowance, you have your allowance but you keep pissing it away.  There is no reason for those TRULY in need to go without necessary services.  The system “The Programs” you hailed are a rot with fraud, waste and abuse.  Let me give you a few examples of the wasted funds.

After causing a horrific accident while driving under the influence, Boston party girl Vivencia Bellegarde was found not only with one but three EBT welfare cards under different names and berated the investigating officer for paying for food when she gets it for free.  She is 25, healthy and an illegal immigrant.  If her name doesn’t ring a bell, google it and catch up… or search the name Edwin Alemany, it also has some nice EBT card abuse reading.

National Reviews Jillian Melchior exposed fraud and abuse in the Lifeline cellphone program (Obama phone), after telling the vendor she was not qualified for the program she was signed up eight times and received three free cellphones.  Even if she was qualified, by FCC rule she is limited to one phone, not three.

The Internal Revenue Service sent 23,994 fraudulently requested tax refund checks to the same address in Atlanta GA. The total, over $46 million.  Additionally, over 11,000 refund deposits were made into two bank accounts amounting to over $7.5 million.  Three locations received over 35,000 refunds, totaling over $53.5 million. $53.5 million gone.

I could list the billions of dollars pumped into Egypt to prop up a failed Islamic dictatorship, the hundreds of millions spent on green energy scams, or the hundreds of millions wasted by government agencies on over-the-top conferences (parties) but to be honest, it’s starting to become depressing and Mr. Ellison just isn’t worth it.

Note to Mr. Ellison, there is no government Bill of Rights, government has responsibilities and is accountable (two concepts that has been lost to you and your cohorts).  Be as much of a spoiled brat as you wish, stomp your feet, slam your fist, hold your breath till you turn blue for all I care, I’m not reaching into my pocket any more.  You’re going to have to decide, you can take care of what needs to be done or you can keep pissing it away but no more money, if anything maybe less.

It’s time to put the candy
back on the shelf kiddo.

All of it.

Balancing act (that’s out of balance)

Recent polls indicate Congressional approval ratings have dropped to the lowest point ever (8% to 10% +/-).  These polls have been used as an excuse for the President to push his agendas by edict.  They have been used by Harry Reid to call for procedural changes within the Senate (the same changes he vehemently argued against a few years back).  When pressed, most who disapprove of Congresses job performance are unable to differentiate between the Senate and the House of Representatives let alone name their Representatives.  On the other hand, of the people polled that did know the names of their Representatives, they approved of their members of Congress by 62%+.
This leads to a bit of a disconnect, a bit of an imbalance,  if the citizens of any given area approve of their representation and continue to re-elect the same individuals every 2 or 6 years what change do they expect to see (I guess they just don’t like anyone else having Rep’s).  It seems that the citizenry of the Nation has lost site of the purpose of the branches and levels of government and the balance needed between them to be effective.  The people of the United States are looking for cures to local ills to come from the federal level.  A one size fits all fixes but consider this, rules and regulations that may be quite appropriate and beneficial for a major hospital in Los Angeles CA. when its servicing thousands of patients a day aren’t necessarily going to be workable at the health clinic in Cloversport KY. that may only see 30 patients a day.  Yet Congress has passed a law that doesn’t differentiate (and now the cracks are starting to develop).
Excluding the extensively publicized “Gridlock” in congress, when asked what people dislike about congress overall the answer is “The Pork” or special favors jammed into bills by members for their home districts… then asked what they like about their representatives… “They bring home the BACON”.
Myself I’m content with the gridlock, the debate, the inaction at the Federal level, the things that affect me and those around me need to be addressed at the local level.  The industry, the careers, the job opportunities in this region require certain skills that may not be needed in a place like Chicago or San Francisco but with the push for common core, another top down “one size fits all” initiative, it appears needed skills are not being taught.  A quick example, consider the performance of 19-year-old Rachel Jeantel during her time on the witness stand and her later revealed twitter comments.  It has been reported this September she will be a senior at Miami Norland High School… clearly by her own admission she is unable to read cursive writing, the tweets she sent out were peppered with spelling errors and her command of verbal skills speaks for its self.  Basically her reading, writing and communication skills fail to come up to 4th grade level yet she has been moved along under the previously government mandated/funded (and teacher union approved) system and at least 2 years of Common Core.  Instead of marching on the streets for what happened to one youth, parents should be marching against what is being done to all their children daily.  Some may be thinking I’m being a bit harsh on young Ms. Jeantel… I don’t mean to be, I think the school system owes her an apology, the taxpayers a refund and the administrators some jail time for fraud.  In 2010 Mr. Jason Zimba (One of the architects of common core) admitted the goal is to “prepare each student for entry level jobs” (Pizza Hut) or for a “community college with non-selective entrance requirements…”  They expect this low bar goal to make us competitive in the world?
The ills of the nation will never be cured at the Federal level by passing another all inclusive, over stuffed bill or an agency distributing pages of rules and regulations meant to foresee every circumstance or predict every variable from coast to coast or southern border to northern border or from city to cornfield.  We have enough (more than enough) laws, rules and regulations to take care of our national interest (if they would be enforced as intended).  Thus far the shining light for the governments prescribed cure is a 45% increase in temporary help services accompanied by a 32% increase in welfare enrollment, it appears the ointment is worse than the rash.  Soon welfare recipient will top the list of fastest growing professions, our national product… DEPENDENCY.  The health clinic prohibited from providing for the needs of the local community, the young adult incapable of taking advantage of opportunities, the faceless name on a welfare check… all just statics to be shuffled from column to column by an out of touch and unconcerned federal bureaucracy, the cure will have to come at the state level, the county, the city level, or maybe from your own yard.
Time to bring balance back to the system

If you’re thinking young Ms. Jeantel may be an exception… think again, it seems she fits into the median range of her school.  Fair… or not she will be the face of Florida’s education system for the next few years… maybe the Nations.

Note: “Basic Standard” means only partial knowledge of subject… Are They Kidding, not even a working knowledge of a subject?  Is this the one size fits all plan of Common Core?  If Eric Holder wants to investigate a crime in Florida… skip Zimmerman and head for the schools.

Got No Dog in the Hunt

Let me get this straight, somehow I’m to blame for what happened in Sanford Florida, the altercation, the shooting, the trial, the verdict…

It starts with a black youth (more like young man) walking through a Sanford FL. neighborhood when he noticed a Latin man keeping an eye on him (I don’t live in Sanford, I’m not a youth, Black or Latin… No Dog).  Then after speaking to a girl on the phone, the young man decided to confront the Latin man, suggested possibly because of some delusional homophobic rage (still no dog, I’m not black, Latin, a girl, young or homosexual).  Oblivious to situational awareness and his own limitations the Latin man was transformed from an observer to a victim of a homophobic beating (a hate crime perpetrated by the youth, still not me).  During the beating the Latin man draws a gun and shoots the young black man before the police arrive, when the police do arrive they look over the area, take statements from witnesses and judge it to be a case of self-defense (I didn’t strike anybody, draw a gun, witness the altercation, take or make any statements… my dog is still on the front porch).

That should have been the end of the story… a sound bite on the local evening news and a few paragraphs in the local morning paper but that’s it as sad as it may be, after all this is a daily, even an hourly occurrence in a city like Chicago.  But that wasn’t the end of it, for some reason this story had legs; the story began to spread and pick up momentum, mostly because of the Latin man’s last name, Zimmerman… The first reports I had heard were that a “Black child had been gunned down by a white man in small Florida town”.  The story traveled all the way to the White House where it was picked up by Obama (another crises to exploit).  Obviously as the story traveled it wasn’t accompanied by any pictures, imagine the surprise when the black child turned out to be a young man that had instigated the physical violence and the white man was actually a Latin man that was getting a beating.  But it was already too late, Obama along with the national press had set the “Race Hatred” machine in motion the press began describing Mr. Zimmerman as the “White-Latino Shooter” as our… White-Black President adopted young Mr. Martin as one that could have been his own son.  (Although I write a few little stories, I’m not a member of the press, I’m not the White-Black President, I’m not a part of the race hatred machine… me and the dog are just sitting here, sun beaming down, another sip of iced tea).

The race hatred machine is a hungry beast it wants blood, it wants vengeance.  Though the evidence did not warrant prosecution, political pressure was applied until charges were levied against an innocent man.  It took a special prosecutor to pursue this type of case, one not interested in fairness or justice… one was found, equally a special defense attorney would be needed, the co-counsels are Titan of the legal world.  Next a Judge was needed, the first Judge stepped aside due to conflict of interest, the second was removed by the District Court of Appeals upon defense team request, and the third Judge was able to stick with it.  Finally a jury was selected and the show trial was ready to commence.  (Me and the dog kind-a perked up… took note, the investigation had already pointed to self-defense… But I’m not a prosecutor, an attorney, a Judge or Juror, me and the dog… we’ll just see where it goes).

The trial started and as expected it almost immediately began to collapse around the inept prosecutor’s head, even to the casual observer it was clear this case should have never been brought.  Instead of evidence the prosecution depended upon flights of fantasy, tugs at emotions, race batting and more than a bit of attempted evidence suppression.  The defense team had their way with the prosecutor’s witnesses and the evidence they presented was clear and concise, it was in the Jury’s hands and as expected they returned a verdict of not guilty.  It was the long way home but home just the same, the Jury confirmed what the initial police investigation found, it was a case of self-defense.  (All is right with the world, at least this little part. Maybe its time to call it a day, it’s been a long one…  Wait a minute what’s that rustling around out in the field, the dog just jumped up she sees something).

The Race Hatred Machine is angry, it still wants vengeance, O’s not happy he wants a guilty verdict regardless of the evidence, regardless of the truth.  He’s unleashing his dog (Eric Holder), just make up a charge, O wants what O wants.  He’s deemed Mr. Zimmerman guilty much like the man that made the video they tried to blame the Benghazi attack on.  Obama wants Zimmerman in jail; it’s the only fitting outcome in the imaginary world he lives in.  O’s dog is giving speeches “We need to do away with stand your ground laws” even though this was not a case of “Stand Your Ground” Mr. Zimmerman was retreating to his vehicle when Mr. Martin pounced upon him. (Damn It! There she goes, the dogs after whatever’s in the field… I guess I do have a dog in the hunt).

There were a few Y’s in the road that brought us here.

Had Mr. Zimmerman actually took a "Stand Your Ground" posture he would have seen Mr. Martin approaching, he could have given a verbal warning to stop and then brandished his weapon if needed.  I’ve been drawn on four times, the trigger squeezed twice and hit once, trust me when I say, I became very courteous, very compliant and very humble looking down that little hole at the end of the gun.  Most likely Mr. Martin would have also.

Mr. Martin was never taught the lesson to never pick a fight unless you’re willing to kill and/or willing to die… simple fact you never truly know how far your adversary is going to go.  I didn’t realize this myself until 1991, walking along the carnage on a little known highway in Northern Kuwait.

As far as O and Mr. Holder… Deem someone guilty if you wish, it’s been done before… it will happen again I’m sure but those that deem guilt today can just as easily be deemed guilty tomorrow, it’s been done before… it will happen again, of this I’m very sure.

Obama, July 19, 2013:  “I think it would be useful for us to examine some state and local laws to see if it -- if they are designed in such a way that they may encourage the kinds of altercations and confrontations and tragedies that we saw in the Florida case, rather than defuse potential altercations."
As expected it always comes back to an attack on the law abiding citizens by our White-Black President…Another reason to keep them from being able to protect themselves.

I’ve got the answer… It’s not what you want to hear but it is the truth.
Quit undercutting family, faith and personal responsibility/accountability.
